You will need to hit F12 and then choose the option to flash the BIOS. Once in load up the BIOs exe from an external USB device. and it should work, make sure laptop is plugged in. It will not update without it being plugged in.

I tried that way. No success either. I try from USB and from SSD too. Bios file loading, system restarts and do nothing. Restarts and OS loading. After I was upgraded to A14 Bios problems comes. :( No any way to reupdate or downgrade!! This was the worst bios I think :( Im using Win 8 Pro with bios A04 when I buy the computer. Working like a charm. Now have Intel management engine exclamation mark (Power Faluire) device cannot start message always or exclamation mark in LAN device. No any bios firmware update or downgrade, No any screen on external monitor till OS loads. No post or any screen. My brand new touch FHD screen blinks sometimes after update. Dell please fix it!!

Computer is i7 vPro platform.

I know how you feel.  Ive got the Venue 8 pro with bios A10 on it. ever since i 'upgraded' to that the processor idles at 60C, while under load i've hit 80C. It has forced me to stop using it out of fear i'll melt it.. Sometimes the screen stops working and makes weird cloud looking things appear on the edges of it. ive done all i can think of except downgrade to A04, because i havent found a way to.  oh and i found this if it works for you here. I cant find the files they are talking about in the c:/windows/temp/winphlash, i find all sorts of weird things instead. but it might work for you.

-Best of luck.

Thanks for your reply. The BIOS in my case allow downgrading according to settings by official way but it cannot success either. I was own that kind of dell mini also :D Maybe I try the guide but this machine is UEFI bios and lot newer than mini series. By the way thanks for the help.
