Dell Inspiron 1505E Video problems
I inherited a laptop and there is no video on the LCD. When it boots from hard boot I get the BIOS revision # (MM061 Series) and the F2 and F12 in the corner, but no Dell splash screen. When I ran the diagnostics, it gives me an error that says " Incompatible Video Controller. VESA function 0X4f02 returned AX-34f" I've replaced the LCD, the inverter, the video cable, updated the BIOS and still nothing, I can get video on an external monitor. I had determined (and conferred and confirmed with Dell tech support) that it's the video daughter board that was bad. I change that out. I get video now, but when I run the diagnostics I still get the error.
What's up?
