Dell Inspiron 1545 Black Screen
Hi All,
I have this laptop for I don't know how many years, but lately the screen would black out suddenly while I'm using it and I used to fix this by closing the lid so it goes to sleep mode and then reviving it. now the screen went black and it wont go to sleep mode even if I close the led for a period of time, even after rebooting it the screen is still black, the laptop will start but the screen will not, I tried the flashlight thing to see if it's from the inverter but I can't see anything...
Anyone got any suggestions?

Hi Nonitta90,
Welcome to the Community.
I would suggest you to perform LCD Built in self test (BIST) to check if the LCD needs replacement.
>Turn off computer
> Unplug adapter and battery
>Press and hold power button for 10 seconds
> Plugin the adapter
>Press and hold "D" key while turning on the system
If solid colors don't flash on the screen, LCD needs replacement.

Hi thanks for replying, I've done the test and I got solid colors and now the screen is white, what should I do?
