Dell Inspiron 1545 Error Code 0146 Error Code 2000-0146 Hard Drive 0
I've been having trouble with my Dells Primary HDD which is 320 GB for the past year and half, I've had it replace two times and just two days ago, after surfing the internet, I turned it off, then the next day I wanted to look something up, It wouldn't start, it would go to the Dell Logo start-up then load, then it went to the Microsoft Corporation with the Green loading bar but keep loading until I finally gave up and tryed restarting up then pressed F12 to start the Diagnostics Test and it Failed the Hard Drive Test giving me the Error Code 0146 Error Code 2000-0146 Hard Drive 0. All of my favorite music and pictures were on there, I'm getting tired of losing all my pictures/music/videos and other important information every 11 months :/ How much would another Hard Drive Cost since I haven't gotten another Warranty, How much would another warranty cost since it finally ran out or should I get another laptop. Please help ^^ Thank You!

Because of the major production plants for drives (in Thailand) being closed due to flooding, prices are now quite high. If you've gone through that many drives, something is wrong - either they're being subject to too much heat, or too much shock -- but if you've already lost data, you should know that all drives eventually fail and the defense against that is called a backup.
Current prices on 320G drives are about $100.

This is a corrupted hard drive problem you can try removing HD and hitting gently the case. They seem to freeze just before they load windows. The solution is to replace the hard drive. I've replace the hard drive with one from another laptop and works fine. Thdat is the best fix i recommend. Make sure you get a different manufacture brand and not the same one .You would just be prone to run into the same problem all over.
