Hi SERIOUS DANTE,

Is there any issue with the system at this point that you are trying to update the BIOS?

On the A09 BIOS, there are no fixes applicable - http://dell.to/2e8jper

If there is any issue on the system, then kindly write a detailed description of the issue and we can help provide an optimal resolution.

If you need to manually force the BIOS update - then create a bootable USB - http://bit.ly/1mmhOE1- copy the BIOS file and flash it.

Personally, I would update the BIOS / drivers, only when there is an issue with the system.

Also, please click my DELL-username and write me a private conversation with the service tag and your contact details(Name and Email) for case records.

Let us know if you have any other queries.

Thank you for your reply.

i thought that any bios update would just make it faster and enhance the start up boot time, aint that right?

thats why i wanted to update it.

maybe i will create a bootable usb as u said if u just confirmed that it will decrease the boot time.

thank u

Hi SERIOUS DANTE,

The fast boot is configured within BIOS settings and these days within OS settings from Win 8.1 onward. If you are using an SSD, the boot up time would be much faster.

Every BIOS released would contain a fix or some enhancement - in this case the BIOS update contains only the enhancement for the security patch update.

Hi SERIOUS DANTE,

About security - read this article - http://bit.ly/1SP45Ts

Whether you need to update the BIOS - this a good read - http://bit.ly/2dGYHl4

Hope the above listed articles answer your query.

The Inspiron 3537 would be shipped with HDD by default unless ordered with an SSD or if you have later upgraded the HDD with an SSD.

You could check the system configuration here - http://dell.to/1n3X2po - enter the service tag and check the original system configuration.

Alternatively, restart the system and press the f2 key on startup to enter BIOS - check the HDD / SSD specification listed there.

Let us know if you have any other queries.
