Service tag does not matchs the current system and model. On windows battery is nit charging. "Battery plugged in, not charging" error seems on battery icon. My system is Inspiron 3542 but in BIOS seems 3543. I can't change it. Some times it works sometimes does not.

Check the system setup (F2 at powerup). If the AC adapter shows unknown, replace it with a new, OEM Dell adapter.
If that doesn't solve the problem, replace the DC jack:

And if that doesn't do it, replace the mainboard.
The 3541, 3542 and 3543 are all slight variations on the same system.

I checked chager and battery. I checked voltage values and they are normal. 2.nd control is working properly charger and battery. And they didn't solved my problem. The problem seems from my BIOS. Because in BIOS control battery seems unknown. My laptop BIOS is suitable for 3542 but Dell SupportAssist loaded 3543 BIOS driver. There seems that Dell Support Assist confused my system.

Is Recovery DVD downgrades BIOS? If it works I'll try it. My operating system is Windows10. Recovery is Windows8.1.

Does system setup (F2 at powerup) identify the AC adapter by wattage, or does it show unknown? Whether or not the voltage is present isn't the issue - if the adapter doesn't show in setup, the battery will not charge.
This is a hardware issue - not a firmware issue.

This is not a BIOS problem. If the adapter shows unknown, you have a faulty adapter, DC jack or mainboard.
I would NOT fool around with a BIOS update - it's a waste of time.
