Dell Inspiron 7520 (15R SE) Screen Colour Cast Issue

Question

Hello, I have just received my new laptop 15R SE and I have noticed that even though it has a better graphics card and the same screen (15.6in High Definition (1366X768) WLED with TrueLife) as my old laptop (Inspiron 1564), the colours just don't seem right... It doesn't seem as bright and the whites are by far the dullest, I could go as far to say that compared with the other system they have a gray/blue cast. I like editing pictures, so this is a problem. I have the settings on both systems EXACTLY the same. Does anyone else with this laptop have these problems? Should I not really be comparing it to my old laptop even though it has the same screen? Can a different graphics card cause the colours to look so different on the same screen? I contacted Dell and they re-installed my driver and then said my computer was fine :( Sorry for all the questions, I just don't know what to do and I like the way the colours are on my old system. Hi Miss Moo,

I suggest that you take your laptop to a nearest Dell Store and compare the brightness and contrast of your system with the exact same model. This will help us to identify the issue better. Depending on the result, we can then suggest further steps.
