Dell Inspiron M5010 Laptop DIm

I have a Dell Inspiron M5010. But the laptop screen was broken. So i ordered one online and it works. A couple minutes later, the laptop turned black but you can see the words if you put a flashlight next to the monitor. But suddenly it works and suddenly the screen goes dim. Please help!
