Dell Latitude E5410 supposedly has a Type I/II type PCMCIA socket.

But that is not true. I have a Type II PCMCIA Video Capture card, but it does not fit in the slot.  What's with that?

The system can be configured at purchase with either PCMCIA or ExpressCard - they're both optional and if your PCMCIA card won't fit,  you likely have the default (which is the ExpressCard).

the technical specifications may be a little unclear, but it appears they are talking about the PCMCIA card slot in the docking station

http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=5897&p=2

specifically talks about ExpressCard slot

I don't care what they say at Notebookereview, they specifically state here http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/latitude-e5410/pd that it has a type II PCMCIA slot.

Thank you for the replies.

Maybe Dell should make use of the word 'or' more often when listing the specifications.
