Dell Latitude XT3 - supported CPUs
Hi
I thought about upgrading CPU in my XT3. It officially supports only Sandy Bridge Intel Core processors, however, chipset supports also Ivy Bridge processors, for example Intel Core i7-3612QE is confirmed to work. Obviously, CPU support is also BIOS dependent and here is the question - is there any confirmed information about Ivy Bridge support in XT3?

Only Sandy Bridge CPUs will work - not the next generation Ivy Bridge. You'd need a new BIOS for that, something Dell never released (nor will, since the system never shipped with the Ivy Brigde CPU).
