Dell M3800 with Nvidia Driver and External Monitor

I have problems with my notebook DELL Precision M3800 with NVIDIA Quadro K1100 and Intel. I need to use the proprietary driver nvidia (I tested the 331 that 349) with my external monitor.

My external monitor (DELL) has a resolution of 1920*1200, I connect via DVI-miniDP adapt but my system at each session view this error: could not set the configuration for CRTC 64.

Setting: Notebook Resolution: 1920*1080 Ext Monitor: 1920*1200

I am trying in every way but I can not make them work. Do you have any idea to suggest?

Has a solution been found for this?  It looks like the Nvidia drivers don't like some xrandr commands.  I have tried to manually scale the external display using xrandr.

The other thing I am seeing is in nvidia-settings there are no options to set up twinview and if the flag to enable twinview is put into the xorg.conf file then it is ignored.

Is this a quirk with the quatro card?
