Dell Studio 15 or 17 Power Button Problem
Hey All,
Ok well this may seem silly but I was wondering if anyone with a Dell Studio 15 or 17 could send me a picture of the wire connected to the power button or maybe information on how the wires are connected. I recently dropped my laptop and the wires disconnected from the power button and I have plenty of experience soldering things back together (that part is simple) the hard part is the wiring I don't know which wire goes were so any help at all would be greatly appreiciated. My warranty is out on the laptop otherwise I'd send it back in.

On my 17" Studio, the red wire is soldered to pad 1, the brown to pad 2 and the black to pad 3. pad 1 is marked on mine with the number one, but if not on yours, then hold the board with the LED facting towards you and the switch at the top, pad 1 is the left most pad.
