Dell Studio 1737 Recovery Partition Issue
Hey there. I've been running my laptop on Windows 7 for quite a while now. Recently I've decided I want to return it to factory original with Vista but my boot option for recovery is gone so I can't figure out how to initiate the recovery process from the recovery partition. The partition is still there and fully populated, but the option to begin the recovery is never presented at startup.
Can someone help me figure out how to kick the process off?
Thanks!

y0diggity,
I've read on a couple forums that if you install your OS from DVD that the Recovery drive won't work from F8 anymore. Don't remember all the details and haven't tried installing from a recovery drive so don't know if this is true for everybody.
Check here for Dell supports info, they require the re-installation DVD to get you to the System Recovery Options window.
Manually get to the Recovery D drive
If you don't have the re-installation DVDs, try to borrow one or, you can request them from here:
Request Backup Discs US
Request backup disks UK
If you don't reside in either country, then contact your local Dell Customer service center.
Good luck,
