Go into the BIOS setup (F2 at powerup) or check the original configuration at support.dell.com using the service tag. If you don't see the high resolution option, you have a standard FHD display - not the QHD.
The base model of this system has FHD - only the two higher end models that are over $2,000 come with the QHD screen.
Hi, i bought the one specifically with QHD. when i check the "my dell" application, i see that my display is just labelled "generic PnP monitor".. but ive installed all the drivers so far. and the display looks rubbish right now, like its not caliberated or something
Hi, thanks for the tip however i cant see the full description of the part number of my laptop, where can i find this? All i see is : "15.6 INCH LED BACKLIT TOUCH DISPLAY WITH" then cuts off just like the cpu description : "4TH GENERATION INTEL CORE I7-4702HQ PROC"
Bottom line: if you paid $2000 or more for the system, you were due the QHD display you didn't get - call Dell Customer Support.
if you paid less than $2000 for the system, you got the standard display, not the QHD -- if you want the QHD display, call and arrange a system exchange (you can do that within 21 days of shipment, of course paying the difference in price between the two models).

There are three models of this system - the $1600 one doesn't have the QHD display; the $2000 and $2350 models do -- which model did you buy?
