Yes, downloaded the latest version -A15. It wasn't working as I described, so I decided to try older version A03, as I have pretty old one installed A02. Still the same problem.
I just made FreeDos usb stick, with the BIOS exe file, downloaded from official Dell page 5530A15.exe, booted from USB, ran the executable file, went through the process, just to find out it's doing the same thing - it just shows 'preparing to update" filling bar, after that it restarts, without affecting BIOS in any way.
This is how it looks like when I'm trying - to update with the smallest step possible A02 to A03 - Under Dos, as I saw several posts suggesting doing it through it The result is "preparing to update" bar, restart of the laptop without any changes made to BIOS. Someone help please?
