Dell studio Power button Issue
Hi .. I just seen this in other post !!!
"Hi, I've just noticed today that while using the laptop the power button is blinking constantly. It never did this before as it was just a static light. When I put the computer to sleep it pulsates as normal. Does anyone know why it would be doing this and can they offer any advice as to why this is happening - is this potentially a problem?"
and somedy answered this:
"Your power button is failing. This happened to me as well a few weeks before it finally broke."
I have the same problem!!!.. what can i do? ...It coulb be fixed?, my buttom finally broke and i can't turn on my laptop

Hi jgonzal30,
Thank you for your reply. Yes, you are right. The issue appears to have been caused due to some loose connection inside the laptop. Its a hardware issue so you can add me as a friend and provide the service tag number of the computer via a private message. After checking the service tag number, I will let you know the next course of action.
Let me know in case there are any other concerns. Glad to be of assistance.

Thanks Chiranjeev for the rapid answer, but as I said I can not turn on may laptop; If I want to do it I have to move constantly the screen until the bottom can make contact ( I supposed) It looks like some contact inside is broken, It doesn't blink it all, in fact when i finally after 5 or 10 minutes turn on th laptop the light in the bottom doesn't appears so I want to know if this could be repaired.

Hi jgonzal30,
Welcome to the community.
Well the power LED in a Studio laptop turns on or off whenever the system is turned off or on however in case its blinking, it means it’s in the standby mode. So there is nothing to worry about as it’s not a hardware related issue.
It’s just showing the power state laptop is in. The light in the power button indicates the power state as follows:
Power LED Power State Description
Off S4 Hibernate or Suspend to Disk
Off S5 Off
White S0 Normal Operation
Blinking White S3 Stand By
Let me in case there are any other concerns. Glad to be of assistance.
