Not sure if you can find another docking station, but I think it might be the dock.... I am almost possitvie I had this issue with a d600 here at work before and replaced the dock and everything worked great.
While un-docked you may want to try deleting the "Docked" harware profile and then let it re-create it by booting with the Dock and see if that helps....

It turned out to be because my iPod was plugged into the D-Dock!
Can't remember if I had this problem before as I usually charge my iPod elsewhere and just update it every so often from my PC.
