Dim Screen

Question

Three weeks ago I bought 4 Vostro 1000's for the business.  I am having a problem with 2 of them (not sure about the other 2, since they went with since they with with someone else).  What mine is doing is when I boot all the way into Vista, it will dim down after 4 mins.  This happens either on battery or AC.  I do have the newest BIOS installed and installed newest video drivers with same results.  I also know about the Fn+ up arrow trick.  Please advise.

Another thing I noticed is when it boots up to the point where I put my password in to log on.  I left it at that screen for 20 mins and it never dimmed down.  I downloaded video drivers again from the dell site and updated it.  Same problem, if I go past where I type in my password, it dims down.

Check the power saver options as that is where these settings reside.   Control Panel Power Options   pcgeek11

I have put everything on high performance since day one.  So I don't know what it could be.
