Display NOT powering off after inactivity?
I have my screen saver set to start after 5 minutes of inactivity on my new Inspiron 1420. I also have my display set to power off after 20 minutes on both battery and plug on performance settings.
My screen saver starts as it's supposed to, but the display never powers down after the 20 minutes. The screen saver shouldn't be causing the screen to stay on, correct?
What else could be causing this to happen? Am I missing another setting somewhere?
EDIT: Just turned screen saver off (Windows Logo on Vista) and now display turned off after 20 minutes. Screen savers never override desktop monitor settings.. wonder why this is happening on the laptop??? Can it be corrected to work as it should?
