Display driver amdkmdap for Dell Precision M6700 stops responding
I see multiple instances of this warning message in my event log every day: Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
The problem almost always occurs when my screen turns off to save power after 10 minutes. Sometimes I don't think it recovers and my screens stay blank. I have to power down my mobile workstation and then power it on again.
This problem became much worse after I installed Windows 8.1 a few months ago. Is there a solution to this problem?

I am following up on this issue with an update. I installed AMD Catalyst Control Center version 2015 0728.2244.39078 a few months ago.

The problem stopped after that. It reappeared after a recent large update to Windows. I reinstalled AMD Catalyst Control Center and the problem stopped again.
