Do you require to enter into the BIOS when installing a SSD?

I've ordered a SSD and look at some videos on how to install it, but one video showed a person changing settings in the BIOS and I'm just wondering if is needed, as I've forgotten my Admin password for the BIOS.  I can still access it, it's just that I cant change any other advance settings. 

I own a Dell Inspiron 7537 (7000 series)
