Does Dell change the official nVidia drivers?

The nVidia driver appears a few days (maybe weeks?) earlier on nVidia's support site, than on Dell's. So my question is: is this because Dell changes something on the drivers? Is there any difference between the two sources?

Users with notebooks equipped with NVIDIA® graphics processing units (GPUs) now have the added flexibility of downloading upgradeable graphics drivers directly from NVIDIA.com so they can immediately take advantage of new features, improved application compatibility, and performance optimizations.

Customers with GeForce® 8 and 9-series GPUs or Quadro NVS-equipped notebooks can download  BETA versions of the drivers from www.nvidia.com.

As they are finalized Customers can  download a WHQL-certified versions supporting all GeForce 7, 8, and 9 series and Quadro NVS series notebook GPUs .

Dell does not modify drivers they get them from NVIDIA.
