You need to install:

The chipset driver,
The notebook system software, and
The wireless driver

Go to support.dell.com, enter your service tag number, and choose Original Configuration. Then go to downloads and download the drivers.

Thanks, unfortunately the laptop doesnt show a tag, nor will it find it via the dell site!
Can i get these drivers elsewhere on dell, and which ones?
Really new to his so not up to speed with the techno speak but understand goto, and click on this type of instructions

Power the system on and press F2. In the BIOS setup, you will find the service tag number.

Go to support.dell.com, enter that number, and choose Original Configuration to determine which wireless card you have. The chipset and system software are here:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&SystemID=LAT_PNT_PNT_D800&os=WW1&osl=EN

So are the wireless drivers, but you need to determine which card you have.
