E1405 Keyboards and Keys

I've had several keys pop off since I got the E1405. First one I was able to get back on somehow, the second looks terminal. Guess I need a replacement keyboard since the "6" key now looks like it's waiting for the right moment to jump?

I've not been a real fan of the keys on this board from day 1 because the edges of the keys tend to "grab" your finger-tips if you get too close to a neighboring key (the "9" key will catch my finger when I hit the "O" key, for example).

If I have to buy a new board is there a replacement board that fits the E1405 that has a different design for the keys and/or how they're attached to the board itself?

I don't care if it's from Dell or a third party, I'd just rather have a board with keys that don't fly off just because you have kids or the dog tried to type, ya know? Anybody know where to get a compatible but stronger board? (Weaker kids is not an option and the dog eats better than I do...)

Laptops are not like Desktops where you can interchange parts.  Your keyboard is Dell specific. You will have to buy from Dell or somone who has Dell parts to replace the keyboard. However it is covered under warranty if you are still under warranty.
