E5440 microphone has stopped working. Which part do I replace?
Dell Latitude E5440 microphone used to work, but now it doesn't. It must be hardware, rather than a driver issue. Which part shall I order?

Thanks for the post! Before replacing parts I would suggest looking over the guide below and making sure these possible software solutions have been tried.

Dell Part 767N9 - Camera, W/ MIC
The microphone is combined to the webcam hardware component and can be removed / cables reseated by removing the LCD bezel. Check out pages 15-16 of the service manual for part installation instructions.
