[E6400] Stutter-problem

Hello!   I hope, I can descripe my problem dispite my not-so-good-english...   First, the short histroy of a Western Digital Scorpio 320gb: Befor switching to Dell, I used a MacBook. Well, once in a while the capacity of the built-in harddrive was exhaused, so I ordered the WD and switched it with the apple-harddrive. I then installed Vista 64bit on this system. Everything works quiet fine. Now, my E6400 arrived and I used the RAM and the WesternDigital from the MacBook. And that was the beginning...   While listening to Musik or watching videos, as well as when working, there are short stutters, duration is about 0,3 seconds. In case of music, you can imagine it like a jumping CD or some sort of techno. Everytime this happens, a access to the harddrive can be recognized (controll-light blinks), as if a program is at work. But there aren't any programs and the vista-indexer should have indexed the hole harddrive until now.   The HardDrive was checked with 3 different programs (HDTune, Dell-Diagnostics and Vista) and non of them reports the smallest error.   The problem isn't very dramatically, there are no freezes and no stops... but it's annoying anyway.   Thanks in advance!

Same exact issue with a E6500 and Vista 64bit.

We're not having any of the stuttering issues with XP 32bit....not yet anyway.

I have experienced the stuttering on other laptops with Vista. THen I solved them by turning off Enhancements on the audio devices properties.
