Enter System Password
Please can you me
I have a Dell Inspiron 15R 5010
windows 7
as soon I switch on my laptop
its asking me to entre system password with a black back ground blue screen
as it does not go into windows screen
I don't know if its windows or bios password
I ve tried default 123456789 this does not work
keys does not function and also dvd drive
hope you can help thanks

Hello and good morning
Try a reboot and immediately begin tapping the F8 key which will have a black background with numerous choices. Arrow down to "Last Known Good" (Advanced) which will return your system back to when it was running at it's best. If this does not work then just do a "fresh install" of the OS which as you know will take some time.

I ve tried the suggestion you mentioned
f8 does not work cannot get into boot mode
how can i do fresh install of os.
as soon i switch laptop on
it just goes to entre system password
nothing is working
as i ve tried loading in lost password dvd which i recieved and downloaded
i dont know if it bios
or windows password i need
im stuck please help

its locked me out

You will need to place a call to Dell support and verify your ownership of the system. That's the only way to have the system unlocked.
