Epson Projector Unable to Recognize Video Source from XPS 140

After 50 or more successful connections, I am unable to receive the video source from my computer. The projector screen shows the dreaded "No Signal." Pressing the source button on the projector does not help and all the connections are tight. Is there an "F" key on the Dell I should be pushing? I am working with a Dell laptop XPS 140 with Windows XP

Problem solved. After upgrading the OS apparently some of the Dell drivers were disabled. Toggling the "Fn" and "F8 CRT/LCD keys sent the necessary source signal to the projector. There must be a description somewhere for solving this problem, I just couldn't find it, and the solution was fairly simply once I did.
