Error code 2000-0142
I have an old dell desktop circa 2008 and am receiving the error code 2000-0142 when running a diagnostic. It keeps saying that windows failed to start. My only question is that there are files.. pictures, work docs etc. On there that I would like to get. Is that possible or am I S.O.L.?

Hi Will,
2000-0142 error indicates the hard drive is faulty you may consider replacing the hard drive on the system. Please backup the data by contacting a local computer technician.
