Ethernet Controller Issue
I am having very much trouble with my inspiron 6400/E1505 laptop. I have reinstalled XP, installed SP2, downloaded all drivers under network in the driver section of Dell.com. All drivers are working properly but this one. I don't even know what kind of ethernet card it is. It says possibly a BCM5701, but their website is saying it's for Microsoft Server03... I've tried some others from their site, but I cannot get it going. any help would be appreciated beyond belief!!!

Did you install the chipset drivers and Notebook System Software before even attempting to install other devices drivers? If the chipset drivers are not installed first, Windows will have trouble recognizing and installing drivers for other devices.
