FN(Function key) settings
Any one can help me in this issue.
In my application need to use mostly with function keys. each and every time it is difficult to press Fn then function key. how to change the setting for directly function keys with out pressing Fn key.

This can be done but you should say what model computer and operating system. Dell Quickset will allow you to change the setting from Multimedia default. If you have windows 7 type Windows Mobility Center in the start box. The Dell customized version will allow you to change it.

It seems that we need a Quickset compatible with XP. I have the same problem. I have some programs that works only with Xp.
But I need to adjust the backlight in some causes and I can't .
Can we finde a solution?

Check to see if your model is listed under Compatibility

In order to toggle between the two function modes (screen and sound or normal functions like help or edit) press the and key together. You can go back and forth this way and the system saves the chosen configuration.
There is no need to go into the BIOS to do this as others have suggested.
