Hi Anjalifair,

It appears you've left out some important details about the problem. Please provide the following information

  • What GPU...is it onboard Intel or dedicated GPU (AMD/ATI) Remember that even if it has an Intel processor it can still have an AMD GPU if it's a standalone
  • How big is the GPU aperature? meaning how much VIDEO memory does your GPU have if it's dedicated?
  • What is the "Special" program used to uninstall the old driver? Omitting this detail can often conceal the problem and drivers come with unistall packages from the manufacturers or the MSI is equipped to handle the uninstallation. Using 3rd party software to uninstall a DRIVER is typically a no-no. Certain PROGRAMS like McAfee products and Adobe products come with uninstallers or have uninstallers available that provide specific functionality but this is NOT the case with DRIVERS.
  • When did the problem begin? and Does graphics rendering lock up during any other activity.
  • What game are you trying to play and at what resolution?

If you can provide those details it will be possible to assist you.

If this information was helpful please remember to hit the YES button and if you need further assistance don't hesitate to contact

Sorry the picture is compressed a bit but had the GPU, its a discrete GT 650M which carries 2GB as well as an integrated Intel HD 4000.

The special program after doing "Clean" installs by Nvidia and uninstalling it with Windows Device Manager was Guru3D after suggestions that there could be left over files that corrupt fresh installs. This had no effect and it still acted just as it had after doing "Clean" Installs by Nvidia and through Windows.

Guide:

  • Use the official uninstaller(s) of the driver(s) you want to uninstall.
  • Reboot your PC in Safe Mode.
  • Run Driver Sweeper and select what to clean.
  • Analyse lists all the entries possible to remove, cleaning removes the entries selected.

The problem has persisted for about 2 months, it's progressively gotten a bit worse it seems but it has its good days and bad.

This only happens during intensive games(Arma 3, WoW) , lowering details to minimum does seem to have an impact on frequency, i run at 1920x1080 resolution.
