Gaming Laptop Power Adapter

Yes you can use other Dell adapters.  I even use a 65W for it (came with 12in Latitude E7240 ultrabook). Maybe the reason why they supplied 130W for it is so it can charge the battery faster. Its less portable though, I just kept it in the box untouched.

Also if using anything less than 130W, you can disable the adapter notifications in the BIOS so it won't bug you.

You need the 130W adapter.  While as the other reply indicates, the error you'll see using a 90W can be bypassed,  you can't prevent the system from running slower on a lower-wattage adapter - or prevent the adapter from overheating, both of which will result.

You may be right sir, but I don't see any system slowdown nor the 65W overheated. However, I haven't had the chance to stress the laptop yet by straight gaming for hours.

Ok I played GTAV for some time on the 65W adapter, the laptop has 55% batt and not charging (I set it not to), display outputted to HDMI on TV.  So the adapter basically powers the laptop but not charging battery.

After some time (ie. while gaming i can hear fan running), the laptop suddenly complained low battery.  I was surprised because I know its plugged, but I noticed the adapter LED is off.  So I thought must just be some glitch, replugged the 65W on socket, and it lighted again, charging battery this time.  So I gamed again, just after a few minutes, it complained low batt again and I see charger LED off again.

So in conclusion, the 65W powers enough for regular task including battery charging and occasional load.  But on full load with gaming, it is not enough.  Use the included 130W.  If I find a 90W lying around I will test also.
