Graphics Problem with Precision m90 and Windows 7

Hello,

2 months ago I decided to upgrade my Precision m90 from XP to Windows 7. My graphics card driver is out dated for Windows 7.... after some research i found the 179.67 nVidia Driver for my graphics card. I had no errors installing the driver, but it did say something about "some things" might not be compatible.

The first thing i noticed about my graphics in windows 7 was screen tearing. I see tearing often, but not constant... it's not a bother, it only happens when i tab between windows or minimize / maximize. I never had screen tearing until win7.

Next Issue, alot (maybe all) programs that use my graphics, crash when i try to load them. I tried to load World of Warcraft and League of Legends and they both fail to load. (I played World of Warcraft on winxp flawlessly) Here's my crash log of google earth:

Error #1
The program googleearth.exe version 7.0.3.8542 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.
Process ID: 8fc
Start Time: 01ce1c7b3ea71553
Termination Time: 16
Application Path: C:\Program Files\Google\Google Earth\client\googleearth.exe

Error #2
The application (nVidia Display drivers/nView Desktop Manager (NVIDIA Drivers), from vendor NVidia) has the following problem: nVidia Display drivers/nView Desktop Manager (NVIDIA Drivers) is incompatible with this version of Windows. For more information, contact NVidia.

I already contacted nVidia and they referred me to the driver i mentioned earlier that allowed me to run Windows 7 higher than a 800 x 600 resolution. I can go inside the nVidia control panel and configure alot of my graphics properties, so I guessing my graphics drivers are working, they just run into a conflict with some application like Direct3D or OpenGL. Is there any kind of configuration within the nVidia 3D Settings I can change that might let me run these programs? I dont care about the random screen tears or Intense graphic games like League of Legends or World of Warcraft. (It would be awesome to have the problems fixed, but i do not expect it). This is whats driving me crazy, random program crashes that happen web based or programs like windows media player or divx.
Google Earth Plugin will timeout my browser every time, but google maps works perfect and has never crashed. Any random shockwave app that loads and triggers "the graphics" it locks my program up. (Ex. I click on a restaurant's location on a website, and it takes me to some 3D map and it crashes)

The Precision m90 is such a beast laptop, it might be a few years old, but it still outperforms a vast magority of laptops on the market today... and they run Windows 8! Right now, it seems like the only option is to buy another laptop... But I dont have the money, or the financial freedom i used to have. I just cant buy another laptop just to fix an outdated driver =[

Is there anything that can be done to fix my issues? (Below are my Computer Specs)

Thank you for reading!

These nvidia chips are well known for being of faulty design - what you're seeing are the first stages of video chip failure.
