HDCP content via dock

So I am potentially looking at replacing my Mac with a new windows laptop(the Mac is having some issues that I am concerned will start to get worse soon).  I thought I had narrowed down my list to a few machines, but I have run into an very unexpected roadblock. Nearly every single dock I have looked at (Dell, Lenovo, third party) do not support HDCP. I have had a third party dock with my Mac and my U2711 hooked up via DisplayPort (technically MiniDP to DP) and have always been able to view HDCP content, so I know the monitor is not the issue. I know all the Dell docks are pretty explicit that they do not support it, but what have people done to resolve this issue?

I know USB-C is the future, but until more accessories and laptops come out, I am hesitant to go with it.
