HID Driver for bluetooth mouse
Hi,
I have a Dell Studio XPS running Vista x64, I recently tried to connect my new bluetooth mouse with my laptop.
The mouse connected fine with ubuntu running on my system so it isn't the mouse or bluetooth but my OS.
I tried contacting the mouse's customer support and was told that;
"In OEM versions of Windows the HID drivers are commonly not preinstalled. Since this mouse uses the drivers provided by Windows, the problem is not necessarily caused by the mouse, but by the operating system itself. The necessary drivers are usually available for download on the manufacturer's website."
I have tried searching the dell site but I don't really know what I'm looking for, can anyone please tell me what I need to do?
Cheers

Hi there,
I followed the link, downloaded and installed the file but it didn't help.
I have attached a screenshot of the error I get, hopefully this will help.

Hi Sollers,
Since you are unable to install the driver provided in the pervious post, I request you to private message me the system service tag to check the system configuration and assist you further.
I have added you as a friend. Please accept my friend request by clicking on my name highlighted in blue and then click on “Friends” tab at the top and then click on “Request to Review” and finally click on “Accept” button.
I am sending you a private message as well. Click on “Inbox” to respond to the message and provide system’s Service Tag and contact details so I may access your system records and check for further course of action. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message.

Hi Sujatha,
Thank you for your help, over the weekend I managed to find a solution at the link below.
If this problem occurs to any other people I highly recommend them to the link below:
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forums/23/windows-vista-help/319574/usb-browser-mouse-driver--in-vista/
Whilst having the device manager open, do not follow the automatic windows search online, click ask me later and follow the steps in the link above and then the mouse will work.
Thank you for your help though.
