Hard Disk Failure

I have a Dell Inspiron 9200 laptop with a 100GB 4200rpm ultra ATA/100 HDD same that has failed,    I just bought a 320GB 5400rpm EIDE HDD, WD Scorpio Blue WD32000BEVERTL,  but the computer only detects 137GB, and show Disk Failure At Start (IT does not boot).

I have installed the WD Scorpio Blued Hard Disk in my Desktop computer and it works perfectly.

If someone has an idea in how to fix this, I'll appreciate it.

There is no fix - the 9200 does not support drives over 120G at the BIOS level, period.

It should work even without BIOS support  - you will  get a "disc failed" until you install Windows on the drive.  That said, KEEP BACKUPS.  Without BIOS support for the drive, recovery in case of future failure is much more difficult.
