dell provides the worst component in hardware i have hard disk which failed in first 6 months in warranty and got it replaced and again after the warranty finished i got again this problems and it is out of warranty and the thing is that the material provided by dell is totally useless and worst products before that i had to replace my DVD drive as it stop working then had to replace the battery due to less backup then charger due to not working the need to change ram due to memory dump problems then its touch pad stop working so need to replace that and now again the problem in hdd and display
this proves that dell is the worst company in hardware parts and its service is useless
any one can tell that the product provided by dell is worst as it is clearly seen that the many hardware parts(almost full laptop) is changed under warranty with some or the ether hardware problems and after replacing this parts also i m facing this problem
so i will suggest all the customer that never buy any dell products if u value your money
thank you

The hard drive has failed - you'll need a new one. If you need further information we'll need to know what model system you have.

I have a lot of issues with my Dell XPS 15z and this is just one of them.
Here is the error message

I am a year later, but my Dell Inspiron 15R 5537 has crashed.
The diagnostic result is also an error code 2000-0142.
My service Tag is <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy> .
I have had the laptop just over a year so it is probably 1 month past the warranty period.
Help what can I do?

2000-0142 means that your hard drive is failing or had failed.
If under warranty, contact Dell Tech Support in your Country.
If not under warranty, then you'll need to replace the hard drive.
