Hardware Upgrades for Inspiron 5100

I was wandering about the following hardware upgrades:
1. How much RAM can I upgrade to on here and what's the cost?
2. What's the latest video card I can get for my laptop and what's the cost
3. Would it be possible to fit a faster processor into this compute and what's the cost?
4. How much would it cost to upgrade from a DVD-ROM to a DVD-RW drive?

Answer would be appreciated.

1. 2G; about $350-380.

2. ATI 9000 from the Inspiron 5150; about $100-150. The 32M will work; the 64M doesn't work well in the 5100. These are proprietary and must be obtained from Dell.

3. Uses a desktop P4, 533 bus, 512K max; 3.06 is the fastest; about $250-300.

4. About $100.

Thanks.
The RAM costs more than I expected, as does the CPU, though I would never expect a 3ghz CPU to be accepted by this machine (with my luck and the abuse this laptop took over the past couple years, it wouldn't). The other two prices seem reasonable, and 32MB on the video card is the exact amount that I need (HD DVDs require this amount on the video card).
Thanks again.
