Help!! Win2K3 Audio Driver for Latitude D620
I tried all possible audio drivers available from the downloads section for my Latitude D620 to work on Windows 2003 (32 bit) Server in vein.
Does anybody know where to find a appropriate driver for the D620's Audio device?
Thanks in advance.

Go to Start/Run and type Services.msc followed by enter. The Services window will appear. Scroll down until you find "Windows Audio". Double click on Windows Audio and change the startup type to Automatic, then Apply, Start, OK.
2. Download and install the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 KB901105 update from this Microsoft page:
link
3. Restart.
4. Install the Sigmatel audio driver for Windows XP. Use the "Drivers and Downloads link on the left toward the bottom to find it. If you still have trouble installing it use WinXP compatibility mode.
5. Adjust hardware acceleration:
Click on Start/Run and type dxdiag and click OK. Go to the Sound tab and move the slider on "Hardware Sound Acceleration Level" to Full Acceleration.
Credit to kovacsAtTiLa from a site called west-wind.com. He originally posted the link to the Microsoft patch. Since I wrote the step by step instructions last year I've seen them pasted in different places on the internet but it was kovacsAtTiLa who provided the crucial information.
