Help - need external PCMCIA adapter (to read SRAM and FlashDisk)

OK. I'll admit that I didn't read the fine print before purchasing the Inspiron 6400 - but it seems that DELL could do a better job of identifying when they were discontinuing the PCMCIA slot, AND they could wait until suitable external solutions were available before doing so. The computer was purchased for work, and part of the job requires copying to/from PCMCIA memory cards (FlashDisk and SRAM). Now, I've purchased a nice computer, which is useless for the job (thanks for the heads up, DELL). Can anyone recommend an external PCMCIA adapter (either ExpressCard->PCMCIA or USB->PCMCIA)? I've checked the usual places (CompUSA, BestBuy, etc) with no luck. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I don't have a solution for you, but I'll comiserate with you. I'm actually not quite so bad off as my company spec'd the Inspiron 9400, but I lose my Verizon EV-DO wireless card until I come up with a workable solution. Verizon says they have express cards in the works, but none available and no availability date released yet.

I'd appreciate the extra speed, but it's pretty shady that Dell didn't offer one of each slot for a couple years, or at least have a converter solution. The 9400 was really nice, but I guess I'll need to have the IT guy's re-spec a whole bunch of systems from another builder and wait another couple weeks for delivery. What a pain.

If anyone's found a solution, I'm listening too....
