How do I install a new graphics card

I just ordered a new inspiron e1705 with the intel integrated graphics media accelerator 950 gm, but I would like to upgrade with a geforce 7900 gs. The instructions that came with the ge force 7900 are a little confusing, is there any other instruction out there that will help with the instalation process? Also will I be able to use both graphics card at the same time or do I have to uninstall one before I can install the other? Thanks for any help

The model that comes with integrated video does not have a socket for a video card. You would need to replace the entire system board with the one that does not have integrated video in order to upgrade.

If you want a dedicated card and you are within 21 days of invoice, send back the 1705 you have and reorder the other. You have intergrated graphics and like as stated in above post you have to change out the system board to put in the other card.

Why did you go through the trouble of ordering a 7900GS for $400 from Dell Spare Parts (a rather difficult process) without checking for compatibility first? Also, to my knowledge, as it is intended to be a spare part installed by a trained tech support rep (us mortals are just lucky to have access to it if we want it), the 7900GS doesn't come with any instructions. Or did you buy a desktop 7900GS somewhere? A desktop version of the card won't work in any E1705, integrated graphics or not. Only Dell's own 7900GS in their form factor will work, and only in systems that came with the ATI X1400, NVidia Go 7800, or 7900GS in the first place.
