How do I know the CPU is running on dual core mode ?

I have a Inspiron 15 7537 (2013 mid) and running i5-4200U, I was wondering is there anyway to know whether the processor is running on dual-core mode or not while gaming ?

I've already set the power option to 'High Performance' , is that mean it will run on dual-core mode at anytime ? is it possible to check it by using some specific software ?

I can only see the clock speed stay around about 2.40 GHz to 2.43 GHz via the task manager...but don't know if it is running on dual-core.

Thank you

Click on the performance tab in the task manager and you'll see two windows for the CPU (one for each core).

Is Windows the factory install?  Or did you reinstall it?  If you reinstalled it, what version?

Were the chipset driver and power management drivers properly installed?

Is the system running on AC or battery when you check it?
