How do I switch off Multiple Monitors ?
I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 with a NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200. I am trying to increase my screen resolution higher than 1024x768. However, the Multiple Monitor feature is showing in my display settings even though I do not, and never have had, another monitor connected. I can not not turn this feature off, so I can't change the resolution.
Can anyone help please?

The multiple monitors thing is normal - those appear because of the SVideo and VGA ports on the back where you COULD attach a monitor.

Hello Andy2503,
Welcome to the Dell Community Forum,
Have you tried to remove the Nvidia Video driver and reinstall it? I suggest to try that first.
Thanks,

Yes I did delete the driver and let it re-install on reboot, but the same problem.
One further thing, on my device manager under monitors, I have 3 monitors: 2 default monitors and 1 plug and play. I've tried deleting those also, but again they get re-configured.

Hi Matt, sorry to disagree with you, but my 5150 has the 15" screen which according to the manual, is capable of 1400x1050 if SXGA and 1600x1200 if UXGA. I don't know which it is until I can try the higher resolution.
One further thing, on my device manager under monitors, I have 3 monitors: 2 default monitors and 1 plug and play. I've tried deleting these, but they get re-configured.
Any further help would be appreciated !
