How do i stop the error beeps?
Hello
I have an old Inspiron N5010 laptop, and the lcd cable gave up on me. The sreen is black, but with it's works with a monitor, so i don't wanna throw it out. (The warranty is long expired)
My problem is the beeping. It's beeps 8 times all the time, even from the headphone jack. It's makes the laptop unusable.
How can i turn off?

The system will not boot up without the error code unless a recognized display is connected - if it's just the cable, you will need to replace it with a working cable set.

There is no way to silence the beeps short of having the system recognize the display panel.

Hello. See if this does any good.
1. Open “Control Panel\System\Hardware Tab\Device Manager”.
2. In the View menu at the top, click “Show hidden devices”.
3. Scroll down to “Non-Plug and Play Drivers” and expand.
4. Double click “Beep”.
5. Click the “Driver Tab” and change “Startup Type” to “Disabled”.
6. Restart.
