How t SAVE drivers/utilities software onto CD/DVD using a different (non-Dell) computer

I ordered Windows XP OS (and drivers-- which I did not received the drivers/utilities disk) for Dell Latitude D810  laptop. I installed
XP Professional on hard drive.
Now I need to install drivers.
Since the Driver CD was not provided with my order, I was told--by a Dell service person---to retrieve the drivers/utilities software
from  Dell's driver website.
I must download  and SAVE the drivers/utilities software onto a CD/DVD using a SONY or Gateway computer (since My Dell cannot assess the Internet due to the lack of drivers).
I am having issues with the download and SAVE onto a CD/DVD to a non-Dell computer (I do not want the drivers to INSTALL on the non-Dell computer.
What is the process/procedures to drivers/ utilities software (on the non-Dell compute?

Hi

Welcome to the community

I would suggest you to install the drivers directly on the DVD and then install it on Dell latitude D810.

Please follow the below mentioned steps:

1) First put the DVD into the system.

2) Click on this link to open support site : http://dell.to/SSUybw

3) In order to download drivers on the DVD follow these additional steps:

a) Click on the driver and then click on Download file.

b) Click on Single-file Download and click on continue.

c) After that click on save/save as Icon.

d) in the end click on DVD Icon to save the driver on the DVD.

Also, Make sure you're installing the drivers in the correct order: you can also refer to this Knowledge based  article (268873) on support.dell.com and refer to this link as well: http://dell.to/KKYTyt

Please reply if you have any further questions.

Thanks & Regards

USB Flash Drives are Cheap, Fast, and easy to move from One machine to another.

Buy a 2Gig Usb flash drive and download the drivers to it.
