How to check battery configuartion without opening case?
Hi,
I recently got a Studio 1557. I udes the battery for the first time and it lasted less than 3.5 hrs. I got a 9 cell upgrade and was told that it would be aprox 5.5 hrs.
What experience do others have and how can I see what battery cells I have without opening the case? It's not in the hardware info.

Generally, a 9-cell will protrude from the bottom or back of the case while a 6-cell will fit completely inside. The other way to tell is to look at the label - what is the capacity of the battery in mA-hr?
