How to install network card

I am in the process of reintsalling Windows XP onto my Dell Inspiron 6000.  Now I am to the part where I need to install the extra drivers like Network Cards, Sound Cards, Printers, Scanners, Graphics Cards, Digital Cameras, etc... I am most concerned with the Network Card.  I have on that came with my laptop, however I'm not really sure how to install it...

support.dell.com, technical support, enter service tag, downloads.

Download the first three drivers (Dell notebook system software, chipset driver and network driver) using another system, put them on a CD, DVD or flash drive, and install them.

Then you can use the system you're reloading to download the rest of the drivers.

DO NOT FORGET to do SP3 and all Windows critical updates, and install  antivirus software.

You MUST install in this order:

Dell notebook system software

Chipset driver

and then

The network, video, audio, touchpad, etc. drivers.

I am not too computer savvy...All I have done so far is follow these directions on this website...

http://www.windowsreinstall.com/winxppro/sp2installxpcdoldhdd/indexfullpage.htm

Has the Dell notebook system software, chipset driver, network, and other drivers already been installed then?
