How to use laptop in ac power supply mode without removing battery.

Welcome to the community,

Ideally when you have the AC adapter connected system does not use the battery.Once the battery is 100% charged power supply to the battery is automatically cut off.However if you want to disable battery charging while the AC adapter is connected,you have a option in Battery Meter (in Control Panel or click on battery icon on taskbar). Once you enable that option battery will stop charging even if the AC adapter is connected,however once you reboot the system,battery will automatically start charging normally.
