I need a 'Dell' Driver Update for the Intel 945 Graphics chip that will support OpenGL si i can fix a tomb raider bug

I have a Dell Inspiron 640m laptop running Vista32 with an Intel 945GM Express graphics chip.

I have loaded an old 'Sold Out' copy of Tomb Raider 1 using a DOS Box based emmulator which now plays great in Vista except for some depth issues. The obvious fix for this requires OpenGL so i can change the Depth buffer bit depth, but my 945 graphics card doesn't support OpenGL.

I have installed the latest driver from Dell support but it still doesn't have OpenGL. Intel have a more up to date driver for the 945 family which DOES support it but my laptop won't load it because you have to get the driver from Dell. Various posts suggest that i could first uninstall the current driver and then load the Intel one but it may create problems. Has anyone tried doing this or got any advice?

Does anyone know if Dell will ever update their 945 driver to the modern standard?

Thanks
